Jason Dull - I believe.  Drew for spots and got the biggest break I could get, with the pole!  Cavalier never felt better.  John Huss had pulled the belts tight and I felt real confident in the car.  I thought I was clear at start, but guy on outside came WAY down track and got into RR...sending RF into frontstraight wall..spun around after flagstand and bumped into.  I should have looked in the rear mirror, but I really thought I was clear.  John and Dana Czach came into pit area, but accessory belt and all were thrown off.  Front motor mount gone, not to mention radiator.  Longtime help/friend Ronnie Morse and his girlfriend offered support loading up.  Thanks to "Fig-8 King" Tom Schneider, got front end pulled back out during the week and Cavalier lived to see another day! - JD)

Guess I should have made decision to start in back!  Apparently, originally pole sitter did [I had drawn 3rd and didn't know I was starting on front row for sure till the one to go came out].  Did not make sure I was "clear" moving up from pole.  Thought I would have been.  Wish I would have had little more room.  Goal was top 7 and think we would have been good enough for that.  Too bad not a "grand prix" style start...led slow heat from front row the last Wednesday this year before running out of gas.  Only real mark I see on right side of Cavalier is at VERY end of rear bumper though!  RR might have a little white wall somehow [maybe gray from outside polesitter...but don't think he had any white].  NOTHING on side of car by number or anything.  I had to be far enough ahead of the guy to send RF so hard into wall?  Guess I'm not good enough to not have spotter!...Robin Ulrey - 2009 WWOW champ - who I timed with stop watch running HIGH 18s! ... Cav should have been more than capable racing her [consistent 18.3-18.4 with either 2009 "driver"...ran with Robin in WWOW]...to beat her was my other goal...besides top 7 [paid $50]- which looking at other finishers, should have done...Maybe I'll take a back start next year? ... Seem to have curse from pole for rolling starts at Rkfd.  ...Didn't notice any post race tech...Greg McKarns gave us 44 laps from 25, for helping dry track all weekend.
